In the Murmansk region, a set of measures is being implemented to attract public attention to the issues of safety and labor protection culture: the international conference on labor protection The Arctic is the Territory of Safe Labor!; the regional children's drawing competition on labor protection; the regional review competition The Best Organization of Work on Labor Protection.

In order to prevent work-related injuries, an interdepartmental commission on labor protection has been established at the regional level. At its meetings, issues are discussed and proposals are prepared on the problems of preserving the life and health of employees in the course of their work.

There is a regional trilateral commission for the regulation of socio-labor relations defending the interests of employees of the Murmansk region, as well as discussing and promoting significant social projects.

Within the framework of the Regional Program Reducing the Share of the Population with Incomes Below the Subsistence Minimum in the Murmansk Region, measures are being implemented aimed at reducing poverty and ensuring sustainable growth of real monetary incomes of citizens.

Educational work aimed at improving the legal awareness of citizens, informing employees about labor rights and social guarantees, ways to protect their labor rights is carried out both in the format of face-to-face events and online.

Within the framework of the Legal Lesson project, lectures on improving awareness in labor law issues are held for highschool students of general education organizations and college students.

The Legal City project has been launched on the VKontakte social network. The creators answer the most pressing questions on the application of labor law in short videos.

On an ongoing basis, wage arrears are monitored and their repayment is organized, work is coordinated on alternative civil service issues, reducing the number of informally employed citizens, developing regulatory legal acts aimed at realizing the rights of citizens to receive compensation for travel and relocation costs, as well as the right of young employees of regional institutions for accelerated procedure for obtaining polar allowances.
