The main tasks of the Committee are
Implementation of state policy

Implementation of measures to support priority areas of tourism development in the Murmansk region
Annual competitive selection of projects of small and medium-sized businesses operating in the field of domestic and inbound tourism in the Murmansk region in order to provide state support in the form of subsidies.
Implementation of the tourism development strategy, state programs of the Russian Federation, federal targeted and other tourism development programs
Participation of the region in interregional and international tourism exhibitions. Conducting promotional tours. Familiarization with the recreational opportunities of the region, its infrastructure component and a specific tourist product.
Promotion of international and cross-border cooperation
Implementation, within its powers, of measures for interaction and establishing contacts with foreign partners.
Coordination of activities in the field of tourism
Interaction with non-profit organizations operating in the field of tourism, including the association of tour operators, including in priority areas of tourism development, issues of ensuring the safety of tourism, protection of the rights and legitimate interests of tourists.
