The main objectives of the Ministry are:

Implementation of state policies in energy industry and housing utilities;
Development of state policies of the Murmansk Region as well as legal regulation in energy industry and housing utilities;
Formulation and implementation of a strategy and priorities for development energy industry and housing utilities sectors of the Region;
Coordination between sectors of housing utilities and energy industry for the purposes of energy security of the Murmansk Region and improving accessibility of energy sources;
Development of rules and conditions for stable functioning of housing utilities and their market transparency in the interests of the Murmansk Region public;
Improving efficiency of energy industry and housing utilities by assistance in innovation, new technologies and advance management methods.
