The main tasks of the Ministry are
Formation and implementation of state policy in the field of social development
Legal, informational and organizational support of the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of social development within the authority of the Ministry.
Organization of social services for the population
Organization of the provision of social services to the population in accordance with the current legislation.
Development and implementation within the state social policy
Development and implementation within its competence of the state social policy to support certain categories of citizens in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and the legislation of the Murmansk region.
Development and implementation of demographic and family policy
Participation in the development and implementation of demographic and family policy, measures to prevent neglect of non-adults.
Provision of state social assistance
- organization of the provision of state social assistance to low-income families, including those with children, and low-income citizens living alone;
- organization and interdepartmental coordination of activities for the implementation of the regional social supplement to the pension of non-working pensioners up to the subsistence minimum;
- organization of the provision of additional pension provision to persons who have held public positions in the Murmansk region and positions of the state civil service of the Murmansk region, implementation of interdepartmental coordination on this issue;
- organization of the provision of subsidies to citizens for the payment of housing and utilities;
- organization of the provision of social support measures for the payment of housing unit and (or) utilities established by the legislation of the Russian Federation and the legislation of the Murmansk region.
