Governor Marina Kovtun: investors shall choose Murmansk region for their projects

Governor Marina Kovtun has started a range of meetings with the heads of regional ministers and committees concerning perspectives and plans for 2014.
Yesterday Marina Kovtun met Olga Kuznetsova, chairman of the committee for development of industry and entrepreneurship of the Murmansk region.
In all, much work designed to improve the investment climate of the region was done in 2013. Positive changes were commended by Russian Ministry for the regional development and by local entrepreneurs, governor emphasized.
Olga Kuznetsova mentioned, that this year introduction of the Standard for developing a favourable investment climate in the region is to be fulfilled.
We are planning to create an industrial park in Monchegorsk, construct a cable road in Kirovsk and a water park in Murmansk, Olga Kuznetsova stressed.
Our ultimate goal is to create conditions allowing investors to choose our region for their projects. Pay special attention to the spheres which are of certain significance for us, such as port related projects, Murmansk transport hub, aquaculture and fish processing. We need the measures taken to improve regional investment climate to be effective, governor said.
