Governor Marina Kovtun took part in the Russian-German raw materials conference in Dresden, devoted to the topic, Sustainable and Innovative Raw Materials Policy. Challenges of Modern Partnership in Raw Materials. Marina Kovtun suggested organizing the following conference on raw materials in Murmansk. “We have a lot of experience in organizing international economic forums and I am convinced, that Murmansk is an excellent place the next conference to be held at. That could be a good basis for developing of the regional cooperation between Murmansk region and states of Germany,” Marina Kovtun mentioned. Governor highlighted that today a massive attention is fixed upon the Arctic. “Murmansk region is an Arctic as well as a European territory. The North European countries are our closest neighbors and traditional partners,” Marina Kovtun added.
