Conference Arctic Logistics was held in Murmansk

Directors and leading experts of companies specializing in oil and gas sphere, transport and logistics from Russia and abroad together with government officials discussed burning issues of transport development in the Arctic. IV international conference Logistics in Arctic was held in Murmansk gaining attention of more than 130 participants from Russia, Norway, Finland, Italy and Turkey. “Conference is strongly associated with the prospects for development of our region. Interest towards Murmansk region as a future center of oil and gas industry is growing”, vice governor Grigory Straty mentioned in his opening speech. Vice governor noted, that an increasing number of oil and gas companies choose Murmansk region as a promising supply base for its operation in the western part of Russian Arctic shelf. Among the key topics of the conference were logistics related issues, development of the Northern Sea Route, complex development of the Murmansk transport hub, personnel resources and environment.
