The exhibition “Soviet prisoners of war in Norway in 1941-1945” is being launched at the Murmansk Museum of Regional Studies. This exhibition is a result of work of the Falstad Memorial and Human Rights Centre, which is located near to former Nazi concentration camp for POW Falstad. The concentration camp operated during 1941-1945. The exhibition is based on the book written by the curator of the centre, Ms. Marianne Neerland Soleim, “Soviet prisoners of war in Norway: numbers, organization, repatriation”. “The purpose of the exhibition is to provide information on the very important part of our history, which used to be concealed, among Russians and Norwegians,” – Tone Jørstad, director of the Falstad Centre, noticed. Consul General of Norway in Murmansk Ole Andreas Lindeman and curator of the centre, Ph.D. Marianne Neerland Soleim were among the honoured guests at the opening of the exhibition.
