14 communities of indigenous Peoples of the Murmansk region received subsidies from the regional budget in 2014. Subsidies are provided to indigenous peoples of the North in order to develop and support community-based forms of economic activity such as reindeer herding, coastal fishing and other traditional activities. Representatives of communities purchased snowmobiles, boats, outboard motors, sleds, radio and other household equipment.
