Vice-governor of the Murmansk region Grygory Straty held a meeting with Consul General of Hungary in Saint-Petersburg Ferenc Nagy-Rébék. In his welcoming speech vice-governor noted that Murmansk region is a key area in the Russian Arctic. This explains why interest of international community towards Murmansk region is on a rise now. “Murmansk region is a promising area where unique projects are being implemented. We move forward being fully aware of complexity of this mission and acknowledging our responsibility for it,” noted vice-governor. Consul General highlighted that over the course of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Hungarian Prime-Minister Viktor Orban it was stressed that people of Hungary is interested in normalizing relations between two countries. It is of high importance for Hungary to deepen contacts with regions of Russia. It was noted that Hungary stands ready to export to Russia canned vegetables and take part in the region’s construction projects.
