On June 11 traditional 31st Sami summer games are to take place in Lovozero. The festival has been steadily gaining popularity in recent years among people of the region and visitors from abroad helping to preserve and develop aboriginal folk culture, sports arts and craft. The very first festival was organized in 1985 and has been annually held ever since. The festivities include: 11.00 – Sami football, 12.00 – official opening of the festival, concert, 12.30 – sports competitions, professional competitions.
