To fulfill Russian President’s orders regional municipalities being actively involved into cooperation with foreign countries

Today at the Murmansk regional governmental meeting chaired by the first deputy governor Alexey Tyukavin among other issues a coordination of municipal authorities humanitarian cooperation with foreign countries was discussed. This subject was previously addressed during the meeting of the Russian Pobeda (Victory) Organising Committee chaired by President of Russia Vladimir Putin on April 20, 2017. The need to develop humanitarian cooperation in order to promote reliable and authentic information about Russia incl. its role in the defeating of Nazism was particularly highlighted. On December 6, 2017 Minister of economic development of the Murmansk region Elena Tikhonova presented a report stating that Coordinating Council on development of international and external economic cooperation was established under the aegis of the Government of the Murmansk region and the regional municipalities are currently being actively involved into cooperation with foreign countries.
