Days of Finland in Murmansk started with international seminar “Cooperation in Arctic – environment and sustainable development”

Today Murmansk is to host Days of Finland. The event has started with an international seminar “Cooperation in Arctic – environment and sustainable development”. Among the speakers of the seminar are first deputy governor of the Murmansk region Alexey Tyukavin, Consul General of Finland in Saint Petersburg Anne Lammila, representatives of business and scientific communities of both Russia and Finland.
In his welcoming speech Alexey Tyukavin has noted that regions of Finland have remained long-standing and trustworthy partners of the Murmansk region being actively involved into mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation based on trade and economic ties and people-to-people contacts.
First deputy governor also has made a reference to the regional plan of the year of environment (2017) including around 100 actions with total funding of 3.5 bln roubles.
