Women for global security and sustainable development: delegation from Murmansk region took part in Eurasian Women’s Forum
On September 19-21, 2018 delegation of the Murmansk region headed by Governor Marina Kovtun took part in the second Eurasian Women’s Forum. The international event started with plenary session “Women for global security and sustainable development”.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin addressed all participants of the forum highlighting that women’s role in the modern world is growing in various spheres including security, sustainable development, solving the most urgent social and humanitarian tasks.
In order to discuss results of the second Eurasian Women’s Forum, enhancing women’s stand in politics, business and management Governor Marina Kovtun suggested holding regional forum for women.
All in all there were more than 2000 participants from 100 countries at the second Eurasian Women’s Forum.
