Today in Vidyaevo the radio- and television station "Ura" has been launched. It is the final stage of introducing the digital broadcasting in Russia. This marks the completion of the world's largest infrastructure project for the construction of a digital terrestrial television broadcasting network, which was implemented within the framework of the Federal target program "Development of the television and radio broadcasting in the Russian Federation for 2009-2018".
Now the digital television network covers more than 98% of the Russian population. The advantages of the digital television include high quality of the image and sound, multi-channel and resistance to the interferences.
"Here and now the dot is being put, or rather a bright exclamation mark in the ambitious project of covering all Russia with the digital television broadcasting. From now on our huge country has an opportunity to live in a united information space. This project is truly worth of the 21 century! We are proud that its final stage is taking place in the Murmansk region", said the Governor of the Murmansk region Marina Kovtun.

The implementation of the digital broadcasting network construction project had began in 2009 from the Far East of the country, said Andrei Romanchenko, general director of the Russian television and radio broadcasting network.
