The acting Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis was presented today to the heads of executive authorities, federal structures, enforcement authorities, deputies of the regional legislative assembly, heads of municipalities of the region, business community, representatives of the clergy and the public.
The new head of the region was introduced by the plenipotentiary envoy of the President to the Northwestern Federal district Aleksander Gutsan. He noted vast experience of the acting Governor both at the regional and at the federal levels.
Aleksander Gutsan and Andrey Chibis thanked Marina Kovtun for her contribution to the development of the region.
The acting Governor Andrey Chibis commented that he intends to apply all his experience, which he has gained during his work in the federal authorities and while being involved in the implementation of a number of major infrastructure projects of the national importance, for the development of the Murmansk region.
Andrey Chibis stressed that special attention will be given to the improvement of quality and cost of housing and communal services, medicine, the creation of decent jobs for the northerners.
