Medical Institute named after Berezin Sergey (MIBS) will launch a center of nuclear medicine in the Murmansk region by 2021. At the International Arctic Forum in St. Petersburg a cooperation agreement was concluded between Chairman of the Board of MIBS Arkady Stolpner and the head of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis for the purpose to improve the quality of cancer care and reduce mortality from cancer.

Investments in the construction and equipment of the new center will be approximately 450 million rubles.

The cooperation of the regional government with the leading non-governmental company will provide access to high-tech medical care, including the unique for the Russian Federation technology of radiation treatment – proton radiation therapy.
