On May 23, 2019, the 2nd Russian-Finnish Days of Cross-Border Cooperation were launched in Kola. Deputy governor of the Murmansk region Roman Duryagin addressed the attendees of the conference on behalf of the acting governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis emphasizing that municipal cooperation plays a vital role in enhancing longstanding good neighbor ties with Finland.
“We cherish our cooperation and do want that number of our joint projects grow. Among key areas of mutual interest are economy, environmental protection, energy efficiency, tourism, infrastructure and logistics”.
Within 2 days – May 23 and May 24 – speakers and participants of the conference are to discuss achievements and prospects of the bilateral cooperation in the spheres of economy, tourism, education and culture.
