Murmansk region and Rosatom signed an agreement in the field of «Smart city»

The acting Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis and the general director of «Rusatom Infrastructurnie Solutions» company (is included into Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation) Ksenia Sukhotina signed an agreement on the realization of joint initiatives for the introduction of digital solutions within «Smart city» at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. First Deputy Director General for Corporate Development and International Business of Rosatom Kirill Komarov was present at the signing.

Andrey Chibis said that the «Smart city» concept allows launching a competent and effective management of the urban resources and infrastructure to make them comfortable, technological and resident-friendly, to involve citizens in the management of territories on the feedback basis. We already have the first city in the region that has started to use «smart» solutions - Polarniye Zori. The city has the internet portal «Smart Polarniye Zori», where citizens can send notifications on the current problems of the urban environment. In less than two months there has been more than 50 messages received, 25 of which have already been responded with corresponding measures. This is only one element of the «Smart city » concept. The signed agreement will allow us to widely implement the «Smart city» principles with the experience and technology of the Rosatom State Corporation.

Within the framework of the agreement it is planned to analyze the needs of the region for the implementation of urban digitalization projects and identify promising directions for the implementation of projects in the field of «Smart city» based on the Rosatom technology «Lean smart city». Among the possible elements of digitalization are creation of a single information platform, which  will ensure the intelligent management of infrastructure and municipal property of the Murmansk region cities; development and implementation of digital services enabling population to get involved in the urban management issues settling; development of elements of intelligent transport infrastructure; introduction of digital technologies for management of housing objects and communal services; application of the digital technologies to ensure comprehensive safety of the citizens life.
