Murmansk region puppet theater reconstruction is coming to an end. This is the first undertaking in Russia being conducted within the national priority project “Culture”.
Newly reconstructed theater is going to be located at Lenina 27 in the former Officers culture center. The theater will be equipped with 2 performance venues for 300 and 60 persons. In summer performances can be held in the open air.
Acting governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis inspected the way works are being carried out. “A very good project. The theater looks good both inside and outside. Now it’s crucial to meet the deadline and finish all the works on time, and then to use this new location to the fullest for the benefit of children,” noted Andrey Chibis.
The works are due to be finished by December 1, 2019  when the theater is scheduled to move in to the new building. The very first performance in the reconstructed theater is to take place on December 15, 2019.
