The National Geographic Traveler Awards 2019 magazine published the results of vote, which was held for the ninth time for the best tourist destinations among the most popular types of recreation.
Murmansk was ranked 3rd in the «Russian adventure tourism» category, and Kirovsk was nominated 2nd in the «Russian ski holiday» category.
In addition, the car route Gelendzhik-Teriberka is in the top three in the nomination «Best road routes».
National Geographic Traveler Awards allows to annually identify the top tourist destinations.
