Denis Manturov took a working trip to the Murmansk region. The head of the Ministry  got acquainted with the logistics and ship repair facilities of the region, and also held a meeting of the coordinating Council for industry of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation
During a working meeting with the Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis the head of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation highlighted that the federal center supports the initiative of the region to create a ship-repair industrial cluster in the Arctic. 35 SRZ, 10 SRZ and «Nerpa» will be combined into a new enterprise - the Arctic center of ship repair and shipbuilding. The plants will still remain in the United shipbuilding corporation, but the Arctic center will be able to work more efficiently due to its autonomy.
The meeting of the coordinating Council for industry was devoted to the diversification of enterprises of the military-industrial complex in the regions.
Apart from the Arctic center for ship repair and shipbuilding, two more projects of the Murmansk region received a support from the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation including project to create a test site of oil and gas equipment in the Arctic and logistics base for offshore projects.
