At the foot of mountain Vudjavrchorr in Kirovsk Snow village was opened for the 12th time. Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis was among its first visitors.
The history of this tourist center dates back to 2008 when it was built by Vladimir Komyagin for the very first time. Ever since the Snow village is being constructed on an annual basis.
In 2012 the Snow village was acknowledged as the largest snow construction in Russia. In 2014 it got in the Russian book of records as the largest covered snow building.
Each year a specific theme is being chosen for the snow construction. This time the Snow village is dedicated to the motto of the Murmansk region which is #toliveinthenorth.
Head of the region Andrey Chibis expressed his gratitude to all the artists and organizers who partook in creation of the Snow village and noted that such projects are receiving regional support.
