On June 10, 2020 at 15.30 the first international online session “Barents Euro-Arctic region versus Coronavirus” is to be held on the initiative of the Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis with the participation of the Governors of the member counties of the Barents region.
What sectors of economy have proved the most vulnerable in the face of the Coronavirus in the North? What measures to restart the economy were needed and have been taken first and foremost? Is there a future for the tourism in the Barents region? What role do volunteers play in combating the pandemic? Is there any common for the whole Barents region way to respond to the Coronavirus situation? Can the Barents cooperation withstand the global challenges? Can this challenge be turned into opportunity? All these issues are to be covered during the session.
