Proposals for the digital development of the regions of the Russian Arctic zone was made at the meeting of the Federation Council held in Murmansk on November 10. They include creation in the Russian Arctic network of data-centers, introduction of special benefits to IT-companies – residents of the Arctic zone, a single digital platform for the development of tourism in the Arctic, complete elimination of digital inequality by 2030 in the North.
First Vice-speaker of the Federation Council Andrey Turchak emphasized that the development of the digital sphere and communications in the Arctic should be based on Russian technologies and software systems.
Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis presented the experience in implementation of the «Smart city». The head of the region stressed that the digitization of the territory is very important for the region.
«Digital region» platform is to monitor municipal services, transport services, security, as well as the implementation of national projects and government contracts in real time.
