On December 30, the Murmansk airport accepted the first tourist charter flight of the federal tour operator TUI Russia.
The first charter program in the Murmansk region was organized by the tour operator TUI Russia in cooperation with the regional tourism committee and the local tourism community as part of a tourism development project in the Arctic.
“On August 27, 2020 agreement between the Government of the Murmansk region and the tour operator TUI was signed in order to enhance cooperation. In a short time, we launched a charter program with the Federal Agency for Tourism, TUI Russia and the local business community. And today we see how in a difficult epidemiological situation we can welcome organized groups of tourists in the Russian Arctic - in the Murmansk region with the obligatory observance of all recommendations to ensure safety,” said Maxim Bugaev, head of the Murmansk region tourism committee.
Three original travel packages in different price categories have been developed for guests of the region. So, guests can visit Teriberka, Severomorsk, Murmansk, Sami village and other sightseeing of the Kola Peninsula.
In the near future, the federal tour operator in cooperation with the Murmansk region tourism committee will start working on charter program development for the summer season in Murmansk.
