The first plot of land in the Murmansk region within the Far Eastern Hectare program, expanded to the Arctic, will be raffled off at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). Each guest of the forum can participate in the lottery.
One just has to fill in the form at the stand of the Murmansk region and pass it to the organizers to get the opportunity to apply for a hectare of land in the Arctic. The name of the winner will be announced at 17 on June 4 at the stand of the region.
More than 70 thousand hectares are allocated on the territory of the Murmansk region within the program. For example one can arrange a cottage or build a house, run their own farm or recreational project. It is necessary to determine the type of use of the land during the first year, after three years one needs to declare the use of the plot. By the end of the five-year term of use, a citizen can receive land ownership or a long-term lease free of charge.
