Online services that foreigners may need to live and work in Russia are now in one section on ‘Gosuslugi’.
To register you need:
1. Create a simplified account (at this stage only the full name and email address are required);
2. Get ‘SNILS’ (Insurance Number of Individual Ledger Account) through your employer or independently at any branch of the Pension Fund of Russia;
3. Buy a Russian SIM card (any operator with a passport);
4. Confirm your identity via online banking, if you have a Russian bank card, or at the ‘Gosuslugi’ user service center.
Already now it is possible:
- get access to the database of vacancies on the website "Work of Russia",
- the possibility of checking the restrictions on entry into Russia,
- register with the Ministry of Internal Affairs for filing documents for a patent,
- get a statement of salary and retirement experience,
- send complaints to the labor inspectorate.
Also, a section for citizens of Ukraine and stateless persons who were forced to leave the country has been created on ‘Gosuslugi’. The information is published here.
In the near future, ‘Gosuslugi’ for foreign citizens will become available:
- SNILS registration,
- getting a ITN (Individual Taxpayer Number),
- purchase of a AMI (Additional Medical Insurance) to obtain a work patent,
- registration of a patent,
- conclusion of an employment or civil law contract,
- registration as self-employed.
